DEAL CONFIRMED: West Indies has officially announce the signing of

After the T20 World Cup, Insley will serve as the BLACKCAPS Performance Manager.

Simon Insley, the performance manager for the BLACKCAPS, will be moving to the South Australian Cricket Association to take a new role as General Manager Cricket.

Beginning with the 2022 England tour, Insley will serve as a member of the BLACKCAPS until the end of the ICC T20 World Cup in the USA and the West Indies.

During his time with the squad, one of the busiest times in BLACKCAPS history has passed, with over a hundred international matches played, including three ICC white ball tournaments in two years, and a contracting climate that has changed in reaction to franchise cricket’s explosive growth.

From his time with New Zealand Cricket, Insley stated the people he worked with would be remembered.

“Being a part of the BLACKCAPS environment has been an honor,” Insley remarked.

“During my tenure on the squad, I’ve had the good fortune to collaborate with an incredible collection of players and personnel.

“I’m excited about the team’s future. Forty three players have represented the BLACKCAPS during that time.”

Insley stated that he was eager to take on the next challenge in the USA and the Caribbean before focusing on his new position.

“From day one, I’ve felt like I’m part of the New Zealand team, and I think that speaks to the environment’s continued strength,” he said.

“Although I have the tournament straight on my mind, I’m looking forward to the new challenge of playing South Australia and the chance to get to know the South Australian cricket community.”

Gary Stead, head coach of the BLACKCAPS, thanked Insley for his service on the team.

Stead remarked, “Simon has been a great person to have in the team environment.”

“It was very impressive how he managed his responsibilities to NZC, the players, and the team.”

“We decided to advertise right away because it won’t be easy to find someone with his range of skills.”
