Final Score delivers a damning conclusion following another “scandalous” VAR decision that goes against Wolves.
Following another puzzling VAR decision that went against Wolves, Final Score delivered a harsh assessment on the officials.
On Saturday afternoon, VAR dominated the conversation once more, with Wolves at the center of the debate.
Gary O’Neil’s team visited West Ham at Molineux in a crucial match that might determine who advances to Europe at the end of the campaign.
If Wolves had won, they would have passed the Hammers and looked strong at the half, behind 1-0.
Nevertheless, Wolves appeared to be headed for four straight games without a victory until David Moyes’ team managed to turn the tide of the encounter and win 2-1.
That is, until the 99th minute, when captain Max Kilman scored the highest from a corner to make the final score 2-2. But the joy was short-lived as VAR recommended that the referee award an offside goal.
It was decided that young Twanda Chirewa was in an offside position when he hindered Lukasz Fabianski’s eyesight.
Few people agreed with the referee’s ruling on this highly contentious decision. After the game, O’Neil criticized the referees, with Moyes agreeing that the goal ought to have stood.
Following the matches on Saturday, BBC’s Final Score also offered their opinion, passing a harsh judgment on the Premier League’s officials.
Following the game, the panel reviewed the disallowed goal on Final Score. Pundit Michael Brown and presenter Jason Mohammad both shared their opinions.
First things first, Jason Muhammad stated: “The officials and referees need to improve whatever of the league you play in, be it the Premier League or a non-league league. Without a doubt, they must improve.
“It started at Manchester United didn’t it?” Brown continued. when he initially assumed the position. I have to admit, that was a weird choice. Every employee was off the bench, acting irrationally and getting into mischief.
“However, he needs to take a look, think about it, and then let’s get on the phone and get that explanation from the man at the top of the officials so that you can understand a little bit better and move forward with a relationship that I still think is important.”
