Just Now: Pat Riley send a devastating message to Erik Spoelstra

Former coach Pat Riley of the Miami Heat is the only person who, outside of the Chiefs and their supporters, has a stronger desire to see the team win a third consecutive Super Bowl. Riley, why? Is there a relation to Kansas City? Does Chiefs coach Andy Reid consider him a friend? A fan of Patrick Mahomes, maybe?

Riley only has commercial interests. He is the owner of the trademarks for several iterations of the phrase “three-peat.” The Chiefs are attempting to make history this season by becoming the first club to win a Super Bowl three times in a row. They presented their Super Bowl LVIII victory rings last Thursday. It would be a hat-trick. or three times. Since 1988, Riley has held both titles.

The Chiefs know about the arrangement. “We need to resolve that issue,” stated Chiefs President Mark Donovan. “The main query we get is: do you just pay the license fee? Make an agreement, include him in our plans? According to Donovan, the Chiefs may invent their own narrative about winning three consecutive games if they emerge from Super Bowl LIX as victors in New Orleans in February of next year.

Sales were discontinued when Carroll was warned that he was infringing on the Riley-owned trademark. The “three-peat” marketing idea originated when Riley was head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers. The Showtime team of Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Byron Scott was coming off a second straight NBA championship in 1988, having beaten the Detroit Pistons to become the league’s first repeat champ in 20 years.
