Tyrese Maxey, a former guard for the Kentucky Wildcats, just signed a $204 million contract extension with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Maxey will remain in the City of Brotherly Love for the foreseeable future thanks to the five-year agreement. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN broke the deal.
“After Maxey’s breakout All-Star season at age 23, Wojnarowski wrote that he and his agents, Rich Paul, CEO of Klutch Sports, and Mark Murray, waited a year on the deal to allow the Sixers to maximize salary cap space,” the author stated.

In free agency, Philadelphia also signed Paul George, forming a new big three including Joel Embiid, Maxey, and George.
This past season, Maxey was awarded Most Improved Player of the Year. He scored 25.9 points per game this past season, up from 20.3 points per game in the 2022–2023 season, and was selected for his first All-Star team.
