Khyree Jackson, a rookie cornerback for the Minnesota Vikings, passed away in a vehicle accident.

Jackson, aged 24, was a cornerback drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the fourth round of the 2024 draft. Prior to joining the Vikings, he spent two years at the University of Alabama and one year at the University of Oregon.

Tragically, Jackson, along with his former high school football teammates Anthony Lytton and Isaiah Hazel, lost their lives in a car accident early Saturday morning, as confirmed by Maryland State Police. Jackson was seated in the front of a Dodge Charger when it was struck by an Infiniti Q50 around 3am. The preliminary investigation indicated that the Infiniti, attempting to change lanes at a high speed, collided with the Charger and subsequently hit another vehicle. The impact caused the Charger to veer off the road and come to a stop after striking several tree stumps.

In response to the devastating news, the Minnesota Vikings issued a statement expressing their profound sorrow and offering support to Jackson’s family. The team also informed players, coaches, and staff, providing counseling for those in need of emotional assistance.
