Wolves Secures Huge Black Country Derby Win at the Hawthorns, Climbing to Second in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division

Wolverhampton Wanderers delivered a dominant performance, thrashing West Bromwich Albion 8-0 in the Black Country derby, moving them up to second place in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division.

Charlotte Greengrass led the charge with two goals in each half, as Wolves unleashed an eight-goal blitz, keeping them just a point behind league leaders Nottingham Forest.

Nottingham Forest also emerged victorious in their local derby, securing a 2-1 win over Derby County. Despite trailing after a first-half penalty, Forest turned the match around with two goals in the final ten minutes, courtesy of Charlie Wellings’ late double.

Other Northern Premier Division results saw Stoke City dismantle Liverpool Feds 6-0, while Rugby Borough and Sporting Khalsa claimed wins against Stourbridge and Hull City, respectively. The match between Halifax and Burnley was postponed.

Rugby Borough Climbs to Third as Stoke City and Sporting Khalsa Shine in the Northern Premier Division

Rugby Borough moved up to third place on goal difference with a 2-0 victory over Stourbridge. Katy Morris opened the scoring in the first half, while Kelis Barton doubled the lead in the 65th minute to seal the win.

Stoke City leaped above Liverpool Feds on goal difference, after a commanding 6-0 triumph. Tamara Wilcock’s first-half hat-trick was the highlight of the match, helping Stoke dominate their hosts.

Sporting Khalsa secured their first-ever points in the division and lifted themselves off the bottom of the table with a 4-0 victory over Hull City, marking a significant milestone for the club.

**Southern Premier Division**

Hashtag United maintained their three-point lead at the top with a 2-1 win over Gwalia United. Freda Ayisi netted both goals for the leaders, with her second coming just after Cori Williams-Mills had equalized for the Welsh side.

Second-placed Oxford United kept pace with a 2-1 victory at Watford. Ruby Sealey struck twice in the first half, while Anna Silbey’s diving header gave Watford hope, but Oxford held on to secure all three points.

Elsewhere, AFC Wimbledon thrashed Milton Keynes Dons 5-0, Ipswich Town routed Plymouth Argyle 5-1, and Exeter City saw off Cheltenham Town with a 3-0 win. Billericay Town edged past Lewes 2-1 in a tight contest.

Ipswich Town Thrash Plymouth 5-1, Exeter City and Billericay Secure Key Wins in Southern Premier Division

Ipswich Town cruised to a 5-1 victory over Plymouth Argyle at Home Park. Despite Leah Mitchell’s headed opener for the hosts, Charlotte Whitmore equalized for Ipswich in first-half stoppage time. The visitors then took control in the second half, with goals from Charlotte Fleming, Angela Addison, and Maria Boswell, while Fleming added a second to seal a commanding win.

Exeter City recorded a 3-0 victory at Cheltenham Town. Sarah Stacey celebrated her 100th appearance with a goal, while Sophie Gillies and Zoe Watkins also found the back of the net to secure a comfortable win.

Billericay Town fought back to beat Lewes 2-1, climbing to fifth in the table. Olivia Carpenter gave the Rooks the lead just after halftime, but Abbi Smith and Ylenia Priest turned the match around with goals around the hour mark to complete the comeback.

AFC Wimbledon moved up to seventh place with a dominant 5-0 win over MK Dons. Cherelle Khassal and Kau’inohea Solomon-Taylor both netted twice, as Wimbledon overpowered their rivals in a comprehensive victory.
