The Trinbago Knight Riders have signed US pacer Ali Khan for the 2023 Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

The franchise announced on Friday that it had signed the 32-year-old as one of their overseas players for the current campaign.

Khan signed with the Trinbago Knight Riders in 2018 after impressing with the Guyana Amazon Warriors between 2016 and 2017.

He also joined the parent franchise, the Kolkata Knight Riders of the Indian Premier League, in 2020.

Khan represented the Los Angeles Knight Riders in the inaugural edition of Major League Cricket, which concluded last month.

The Pakistan-born fast bowler has 53 wickets in 49 T20 matches, with an average of 25.84 per wicket.

For the TKR, Khan has 42 wickets in 34 matches with an average of 21.83 per wicket.

Khan was not among the XI chosen for the TKR’s opening match of the 2023 campaign against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots on Saturday morning.
