DEAL CONFIRMED: Miami Hurricanes has officially announce the signing of star player

Jacolby George 1 of most explosive returning WRs in ACC

In 2023, Jacolby George accounted for 12 contested catches and 540 yards after the catch, which topped all returning wide receivers in the ACC. In 2024, George will rank among the ACC’s most explosive return wide receivers. George is ready for a better season in 2024, collecting passes from Cameron Ward, following a breakout 2023 campaign.

George has been in Miami wide receiver Xavier Restrepo’s shadow for a large portion of the 2024 offseason. With 85 receptions and 1,092 receiving yards in 2023, Restrepo led all returning receivers in the ACC. In terms of receptions of 10, 30, 50, 60, 70, and 80 yards in 2023, George placed among the top five in the ACC.

With 35 receptions of at least 10 yards, seven receptions of 30 yards or more, two receptions of at least 50 and 60 yards, and one of more than 70 and 80 yards, George tied for sixth place in the ACC. George’s 2023 big performance came against Texas A&M with five receptions for 94 yards and three touchdowns.

In his 2023 season, George had the game-winning play for Miami against Texas A&M, a 64-yard touchdown reception on third and seven that increased the Miami advantage to 48-33. George caught five passes for 153 yards and two scores last season, including a touchdown against Florida State that was a season-high 85 yards.

Among the 13 Miami games in 2023, George had at least 50 yards in receptions nine times. Throughout the season, George was extremely reliable; of his 57 receptions, 33 were on first downs, 18 for 15 yards or more, and 12 for at least 25 yards. George led the Hurricanes with eight touchdown receptions and was second to Restrepo on Miami with 57 grabs for 864 yards.

Sam Brown, George, and Restrepo, transfers from Houston, were ranked by Pro Football Focus as three of the ACC’s top ten returning receivers going into 2024. George is ranked tenth, Brown is ninth, and Restrepo is first. The only three returning receivers in the ACC to record 800 yards in 2023 are Brown, George, and Restrepo.
