LSU Football Signs Four-Star In-State Running Back JT Lindsey
LSU’s second-ranked recruiting class acquired another terrific playmaker in LSU native JT Lindsey.
JT Lindsey, a three-star running back from Louisiana, has joined the LSU football team’s 2025 recruiting class. Lindsey was offered on April 9th and committed upon his arrival in town for the Spring Game. Lindsey is the 11th-ranked running back in the class and the fifth-ranked prospect in Louisiana, according to On3’s recruiting rankings. The Tigers have the third-ranked recruiting class in the country, with Lindsey joining Harlem Berry, the nation’s top running back and Louisiana’s best athlete.
Lindsey explained why he committed to LSU as follows:
“Culture, coaches, and people. It is the greatest thing in the world, and they have the best coaching staff in the country. Look at the numbers and what they create.”

Lindsey was outstanding in his junior year of high school, piling up 1,729 rushing yards and 26 touchdowns, demonstrating tremendous talent as a rusher, receiver, and returner. He’ll give the LSU offense a big play ability in a recruiting class stacked with highly ranked players.
Brian Kelly is doing an outstanding job this year of retaining in-state talent at home. Seven of the top ten recruits in the state have committed to Kelly and LSU, with the fourth-ranked recruit in the state, James Simon, leaning toward LSU.
