“Gavin is an elite shooter with deep range,” Hoiberg said. “Spacing is so important in our system, and his skillset fits what we are looking for. Gavin has a year of Big Ten experience under his belt, and you could see his confidence grow over the course of last season, especially in the last month when he shot 37 percent from 3-point range.”
