John Force Speaks Out on His Recent Accident: “Grateful to Be Alive

In a candid and emotional statement, drag racing legend John Force has broken his silence regarding the harrowing accident that left fans and colleagues deeply concerned. Addressing reporters from his hospital room, Force, 73, recounted the terrifying moments when his Funny Car veered out of control during a qualifying run at the NHRA event last weekend.

“I’ve been in this sport for over five decades, and I’ve seen it all,” Force began, his voice wavering with emotion. “But nothing prepared me for that. It happened so fast—I couldn’t do a thing. All I could think about was trying to get it stopped.”

Force’s car made a sudden turn towards the wall at a high speed, crashing heavily and flipping over multiple times before finally coming to a rest. Rescue crews were quick to arrive on the scene and extract the racing icon from the wreckage. Force was immediately transported to the nearest hospital, where he underwent a series of evaluations and treatments.

Despite sustaining multiple injuries, including a fractured collarbone and several cracked ribs, Force maintained an optimistic outlook during his recovery. “I’ve had my share of crashes, but this one really knocked the wind out of me,” he admitted. “But I’m here. I’m alive. And for that, I’m grateful beyond words.”

The incident has sparked renewed discussions about safety in drag racing, with many fans and experts praising the quick response of emergency teams and the advancements in safety equipment that undoubtedly saved Force’s life. “I owe everything to the safety measures we have in place,” Force acknowledged. “Without them, I wouldn’t be here talking to you today.”

As he continues to recuperate, Force expressed his gratitude for the outpouring of support from fans, friends, and fellow competitors. “The racing community is like a family,” he reflected. “We compete hard on the track, but when things like this happen, everyone comes together.”

Looking ahead, Force remains resolute about his racing career. “This won’t stop me,” he declared with characteristic determination. “I’ve still got plenty of gas left in the tank. Once I’m healed up, I’ll be back out there, doing what I love.”

In closing, Force extended a heartfelt message to his fans: “Thank you for your prayers and well-wishes. I’ll be back in the driver’s seat before you know it.”

The racing world awaits John Force’s return with bated breath, celebrating his resilience and unwavering spirit in the face of adversity.
