As soon as he assumed play-calling responsibilities, he declared, “This is the most fun I’ve had since I’ve been in Dallas.” “Just to spend my entire day in the meeting room once more with the coaches. You talk about nothing but schemes, just going from 8 to 11:30 and taking a break. That hasn’t happened to me. Thus, that section is unique.

After four seasons in Dallas, three of them with McCarthy, the organization parted ways with offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, creating room for a new play-caller. McCarthy’s tenure with the Green Bay Packers afforded him expertise calling plays.

McCarthy thinks quarterback Dak Prescott, who will be starting with a different play-caller for the first time since 2018, will benefit from the move. According to the head coach, Prescott is happy with the shift.
According to McCarthy, “I think we all could use a new voice,” as reported by NFL.com. “Motivation, challenge, and other things are things that we could all use.” His words are a new challenge for him, and he is eager to take on it.
