NHRA anticipates that its 2025 schedule will closely match the IndyCar schedule broadcast on FOX Sports.
Analysis of Thursday’s NTT IndyCar Series agreement with FOX Sports has primarily considered its implications in relation to NASCAR’s forthcoming multi-channel programming, without considering the NHRA’s 20-race schedule, which has been broadcast on FOX since 2016.
However, Josh Hachat, NHRA’s director of public relations and communications, expressed satisfaction with the alignment between FOX and IndyCar. Despite the NHRA not having finalized its 2025 Mission Foods Drag Racing Series calendar, he indicated that scheduling conflicts are unlikely.
“We have already initiated discussions with FOX regarding the start times for the 2025 schedule. Our overall schedule and FOX broadcast windows will be well-coordinated with IndyCar’s schedule for 2025,” Hachat stated.
“We are enthusiastic about IndyCar joining FOX, which establishes a dedicated motorsports network for fans.”
The NHRA’s broadcast agreement with FOX extends through the 2026 season.
IndyCar’s 17-race schedule for 2025 spans from March 2 to August 31, while NHRA events typically run from March through early November.
