In a recent interview with Haute Living, Bam Adebayo shared his aspiration to give back to the South Florida community, following in the footsteps of fellow Heat stars Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem.

“Being able to call D-Wade and UD my big brothers and seeing what they’ve done for the city, the community, and the franchise, you want to be part of those moments,” Adebayo told the publication. “Whenever you drive past our arena now, you’ll always see D-Wade because he has his own statue. It’s incredible. Seeing someone else do it and being part of those conversations makes you dream bigger. It makes my imagination stretch far beyond what I could have ever imagined back in my rookie year, when I was eating Panera every day.”

Adebayo is known as one of the most philanthropic players on the Heat. He organizes toy drives and holiday meals each season and hosts various summer events for local youth.

“I’m going to try to fill the arena with presents and bring kids from my foundation, UD’s, D-Wade’s, and others to the arena,” Adebayo said. “And it’s going to be a merry, merry Christmas from me. That’s the kind of philanthropy Bam wants to achieve.”
