Wolves striker Matheus Cunha is reportedly being monitored by rival Premier League clubs amid concerns that Wolves could face relegation at the end of the season. According to former Manchester United, Aston Villa, and West Ham scout Mick Brown, who spoke exclusively to Football Insider, a cut-price transfer for Cunha could be possible if Wolves’ fortunes don’t improve.
Gary O’Neil’s side has struggled, earning just one point from their first seven Premier League matches and conceding 21 goals, increasing the risk of relegation. This has led other clubs to keep a close watch on Wolves’ top talent, ready to swoop if the team remains in the relegation zone by May.
At 25, Cunha is viewed as Wolves’ most valuable asset, but relegation could force a reduced-fee move. Although his contract at Molineux runs until 2027, there is a growing belief he might be one of the first players to depart if the club’s form doesn’t improve.
