What A Signing: Lamar Jackson has confirm 3 yers Sign…

Late for work: Cam Newton predicts Lamar Jackson will win the Super Bowl before other prominent quarterbacks.

Cam Newton says Lamar Jackson will win the Super Bowl before other young quarterbacks.
Cam Newton, a former NFL quarterback, joined former Raven and Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe on his podcast, “Club Shay Shay.” During the show, Sharpe questioned who will win the championship first.

“Who do you think wins the Super Bowl first?” Sharpe inquired. “Jordan Love, Brock Purdy, Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson, Justin Herbert, Dak Prescott, Jalen Hurts?”

Newton responded without hesitation: “Lamar.”

This prompted Sharpe to inquire about Newton’s perception of Jackson and why the Ravens failed to win a championship last season.

“I think one thing that Lamar and the Ravens organization just has to figure out is how to win the ugly games,” Newton was quoted as saying. “Looking at Lamar, I’m like, ‘Bro, stop thinking.'” Find a method to win the ugly games, and we’ll talk about the other stuff later.”

While the Ravens have had their fair share of “ugly” wins, Baltimore Beatdown’s Joshua Reed believes Newton’s comments may have some merit.

“During Jackson’s tenure as the Ravens’ starting quarterback, the team has held the lead in games far more than they have trailed,” Reed said in a statement. “In their two best seasons, they had double-digit margins of victory down the stretch. And, while the Ravens have played in and won a few close games, they haven’t demonstrated the ability to regularly win ugly games when it counts the most in the playoffs.”

Newton mentioned the 2018 Super Bowl between the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams, which is largely regarded as one of the uglier Super Bowls in history, and how Tom Brady and the Patriots managed to win.

“That was the ugliest Super Bowl ever,” Newton remarked. “Once [Jackson] figures that out, the organization figures that out, [Newton whistles].”

Could the Ravens make a trade for receiver Brandon Aiyuk?
