The Miami Heat have a fierce rivalry with the Boston Celtics, particularly when it comes to forward Jimmy Butler. The Heat’s season came to a halt in the first round of the playoffs, where they fell to the Celtics, leaving Butler powerless to change the outcome. Much of Butler’s life over the past year has been captured in the newly released Netflix series Starting Five.

Butler, a six-time All-Star, made his feelings about the Celtics crystal clear, stating, “*[Expletive] Boston, [expletive] Boston. I don’t know if I can keep talking about Boston.*” He isn’t alone in seeking revenge against the reigning champions; the Philadelphia 76ers, Indiana Pacers, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Milwaukee Bucks have all seen their seasons cut short by Boston in recent years. Among the Eastern Conference contenders, the Sixers and New York Knicks are viewed as the most significant threats to the Celtics.

The *Starting Five* documentary goes beyond Butler’s animosity toward the Celtics, revealing deeply personal details about his life, including the loss of his father last February. The series shared that Butler’s father, also named Jimmy, passed away at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach.

At 35 years old, Butler is entering the upcoming season battle-tested, highly motivated, and poised to compete as a dark horse for the championship.
